Head of Defense Industry Directorate: 'What Turkiye owns also belongs to Azerbaijan' - EXCLUSIVE

"What Turkiye owns also belongs to Azerbaijan," Ismayil Demir, head of the Defense Industry Directorate of Turkiye, visiting the SAHA EXPO 2022 defense, aerospace, and space industry exhibition held in Istanbul, told the local bureau of Report.

According to him, the exhibition provides the necessary environment for demonstrating the potential of Turkiye's defense industry and establishing cooperation with various companies: "Within the framework of the event, there will be an introduction to national products, and new relations will be established with hundreds of companies from different countries."

Demir also touched upon the cooperation between the two countries in the defense industry: "Our Azerbaijani brothers are also here today. Cooperation in the defense industry between the two countries is successfully carried on and will be brought to an even higher level. I think new agreements will be reached between Azerbaijan and Turkiye in this field. What Turkiye owns also belongs to Azerbaijan. Whatever you see here, if there is any demand or need from Azerbaijan, we will hold negotiations at any level and discuss these issues."
