Defense Ministry’s leadership visits Second Alley of Martyrs

On July 12, the First Deputy Minister of Defense - Chief of the General Staff of the Azerbaijan Army, Colonel General Karim Valiyev, and the leadership of the Ministry visited the Second Alley of Shehids (Martyrs) on the occasion of the Tovuz battles’ anniversary, Report informs, citing Defense Ministry.

At first, the memory of sons of the Motherland, who sacrificed their lives for the independence and territorial integrity of Azerbaijan, was honored with observing a minute of silence, and prayers were made for their souls.

Then, the flowers were laid on the graves of Shehids, who sacrificed their lives in battles to suppress provocations committed by the Armenian armed forces in the Tovuz region of the Azerbaijani-Armenian state border in July 2020, and of all Shehids buried on the Alley.
