Defense ministry: Azerbaijani army ready to prevent any provocation

The air defense units of the Azerbaijani Air Force conduct round-the-clock uninterrupted service, the country's airspace is constantly monitored, and appropriate measures are taken, Report informs referring to the Ministry of Defense.

"Thanks to the high combat readiness and vigilance of the air defense units, on August 13, a quadrocopter belonging to illegal Armenian armed formations was detected and intercepted near the city of Shusha, as it was trying to carry out reconnaissance flights over the positions of our units.

The personnel of our army, on combat duty on the Azerbaijani-Armenian state border, as well as on the territory of Azerbaijan, where the Russian peacekeeping contingent is temporarily stationed, is ready to prevent any provocation," the report says.
