Defense Minister visits special educational institutions

On March 19, Azerbaijani Minister of Defense Colonel-General Zakir Hasanov and the leadership of the ministry examined the overhauled canteen of the Azerbaijani Army Training Center, Report informs, citing the Defense Ministry.

It was reported that the spacious two-storey canteen building is equipped with modern equipment for the preparation of high-quality food. A kitchen and utility rooms, food and clothing warehouses are provided here, and a bakery is also functioning.

Then, Colonel-General Z. Hasanov examined the educational building of the Military Academy of the Armed Forces, got acquainted with the conditions created after the overhaul. It was noted that all conditions have been created in the educational building for organizing the system of military science and education at a higher level.

Speaking to heads, faculty of special-purpose educational institutions, Colonel-General Z. Hasanov noted that within the framework of structural reforms carried out at the direction of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, the application of the model of the Turkish Armed Forces in the Azerbaijan Army continues successfully, work to create National Defense University, including the development of military science and education.

Noting the importance of the scientific approach in the modern period, the minister emphasized the important role of science and education in army building, the importance of the practical implementation of ongoing research work.

In conclusion, Defense Minister Colonel-General Z. Hasanov gave relevant instructions related to the organization of a system of military science and education at a high level, congratulated the employees of special educational institutions on the upcoming Novruz holiday.
