Azerbaijan discusses procurement of Turkish state-of-the-art weapons

Azerbaijani Deputy Defense Minister-Chief of the Main Logistics Department Lt-Gen Nizam Osmanov met with a delegation led by Turkish Deputy Defense Minister Muhsin Dere, who is on a working visit to Azerbaijan.

Report cites the Defense Ministry as saying that the meeting focused on the successful development of cooperation between the armies of the two countries based on friendly and fraternal relations. The parties stressed the importance of joint cooperation to improve logistics and discussed in detail the work to be done in this direction.

The meeting also discussed the prospects of including the state-of-the-art weapons and other military equipment, manufactured by the Turkish defense industry on the basis of modern technologies, in the armament of the Azerbaijani Army.
