NTRC chairman announces names of dissatisfied telecasts in Azerbaijan

Baku. 17 August. REPORT.AZ/ "One of the issues that disturbs me in recent days is increase of television broadcasts related to medical clinics".

The chairman of the National Television and Radio Council (NTRC), Nushiravan Maharramli told Report.

He said that statistical expressions of the same nature are too much repeated in the telecasts regarding health: "It's true that health programs are important, but when such programs run to extremes, they do not achieve their goals and create an opposite effect. Unfortunately, this issue go to extremes."

He noted that broadcasting of the same format telecasts at certain hours of the day is not observed only in Azerbaijan, but also in the whole world: "Our TV channels try to be coordinated with foreign TV channels. Cookery programmes are also broadcasted too much. It disturbs me. This is not specific for our country. I cannot find a good telecast from 12:00 to 18:00 because mostly cookery and health-related programs are broadcasted".
