Human rights activist Eldar Zeynalov: Armenians should admit their defeat

For the reintegration of the Armenian population of Karabakh into the Azerbaijani society, they need to admit their defeat, the well-known Azerbaijani human rights activist Eldar Zeynalov said during the show 'Let's Talk' with Hamid Hamidov.

"It's like a situation when a person has been placed checkmate in chess, but he wants to continue playing," he said, adding that, for example, Armenia is afraid of the construction of the Zangazur Corridor, because it will make it of no importance for Russia and Türkiye.

According to Zeynalov, if the Armenian side does not recognize that the situation has changed and does not try to fit into the new realities, recognizing the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan, the fact of Azerbaijani citizenship and the payment of taxes from the gold mines in Karabakh, then there will be no transition to peaceful construction and the establishment of normal relations in the region.

He noted that previously the Armenians were integrated into the Azerbaijani society, they were a part of this society, so it is possible again.
