Modern realities require not only the knowledge but also the ability to choose the right path in a massive flow of information, Fariz Ismayilzada, member of Azerbaijan's Milli Majlis (Parliament) and Vice-Rector of ADA University, said at a meeting with students of Report Media School.
“Today, there is no need to remember every piece of information. People no longer live within the confines of one country or one collective. Working with international teams and interacting with different cultures demands not a large body of knowledge, but flexibility of thought and analytical skills,” Ismayilzada noted.
The MP emphasized that searching for information requires certain skills. “If a person does not know how to search for information or lacks the ability to critically analyze it, adapting to new conditions will be difficult. Therefore, we need to enhance the ability to detect, evaluate, and use information in the work process,” he said.
Fariz Ismayilzada was born in Lankaran in 1978. He graduated from Western University with a bachelor's degree in political science in 2000 and earned a master's degree in social and economic development from the University of Washington in 2002. In 2021, he received his PhD from the Maastricht School of Management in the Netherlands.
He is a member of the 7th convocation of the Milli Majlis, Vice-Rector of ADA University, and Director of the Institute of Development and Diplomacy.
