The second Shusha Global Media Forum themed “Unmasking False Narratives: Confronting Disinformation”, which commenced on July 20, concluded on July 22, Report informs.
Four panel sessions on “Impact assessment: scoping disinformation,” “Policies and initiatives to build a more resilient society against disinformation,” The impact of artificial intelligence on reality, media and disinformation: Promoting media literacy,” and “Climate movement and media” were held within the framework of the Forum attended by President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev.
During the panel sessions, officials from various countries, media outlets, civil society, and representatives from state and business sectors engaged in detailed discussions, sharing their ideas and experiences.
Simultaneously, information was presented regarding the measures and preparatory efforts related to COP29, the country-level fight against climate change effects, and the sustainable approach taken during the restoration and reconstruction process in Azerbaijan’s liberated areas.
The second Shusha Global Media Forum brought together more than 150 foreign guests from about 50 countries, including news agencies from 30 countries, 3 international organizations, and 82 media outlets. Among the participants of the Global Media Forum are representatives of foreign media, as well as media representatives, experts, and officials of Azerbaijan.
President Ilham Aliyev participated in the opening ceremony of the Forum “Unmasking False Narratives: Confronting Disinformation” and answered numerous questions of foreign reporters.
