Zakharova: Russia focused on restoring trade & economic ties in South Caucasus

Russia is taking steps to strengthen stability in the region and establish peace between Azerbaijan and Armenia, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova said at a weekly briefing, commenting on the upcoming meeting of the leaders of Azerbaijan, Russia and Armenia scheduled for November 26 in Sochi, Report informs.
Zakharova noted that it is not the prerogative of the Russian Foreign Ministry to assess the summit meetings, but “Russia is doing everything to take steps to strengthen stability and establish a peaceful life in the region.”
“Particular attention is focused on the restoration of trade, economic and transport ties,” she added.
