Protesters on the Khankandi-Lachin road against the illegal exploitation of mineral deposits in Azerbaijan’s Karabakh economic region are fed up with Armenia’s unwillingness to implement the trilateral agreements signed by the leaders of Azerbaijan, Russia and Armenia in 2020, British analyst Taras Kuzio told journalists, Report informs from the venue of the rally.
“I see people who are fed up with Armenia’s unwillingness to implement the trilateral agreements signed by the leaders of Azerbaijan, Russia and Armenia in 2020, which stress the need to conclude a peace treaty,” Kuzio said.
He added that most often the information posted on social networks does not reflect the real situation: “Many people talk about the 'blockade', but being here, we see a completely different picture. We see eco-activists.”
According to Kuzio, environmental activists are trying to convey the problems of all frozen conflicts: “The frozen conflict is a black hole for organized crime and corruption. Signing a peace treaty is the only way to solve this problem.”
