Statue of "Victorious Soldier" inaugurated in Sumgayit

A memorial complex and a statue of "Victorious Soldier" were inaugurated in the Alley of Martyrs.

The event was attended by officials of the executive authorities of Sumgayit, Gubadli, and Zangilan districts, MPs, family members of the martyrs, Samaya Hashimova, the mother of the National Hero, martyred Major General Polad Hashimov, residents, and public figures.

The martyrs' graves were visited at the ceremony, carnations were laid, and prayers were recited for their souls.

The statue of "Victorious Soldier" was erected in the central part of the Alley of Martyrs. The walls are covered with marble and granite and the floor with granite. The area is covered with greenery. The lighting system has been further modernized.
