"We have prepared several legal and normative documents. A mechanism has been developed to coordinate the activities of the parties involved in the demining process," Samir Poladov, Deputy Chairman of the Azerbaijan Mine Action Agency (ANAMA), said at a webinar on the Second Karabakh War and Mines, Report informs.
According to him, ANAMA is currently experiencing a complicated and challenging period: "We rarely encounter one kind of mine during the demining of the area. In most cases, we come across a mixture of anti-tank and anti-personnel mines. A large amount of unexploded ordnance is also an additional problem."
