Russian Foreign Ministry responds to Nikol Pashinyan's statement

The resolution of Nagorno-Karabakh conflict is a complicated and time-assuming process, Russian Foreign Ministry's Spokesperson Mariya Zakharova said speaking at a briefing, Report informs.

"Naturally, we consider that the statements of the parties must fit into the context of joint efforts aimed at peaceful resolution. It is very difficult to bring or to return to previous positions in the negotiation process after the statements that become or have become such an 'apple of discord' and may raise additional issues or cause imbalance in the shaky negotiation process," Zakharova said commenting on the statement of Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan who said that Karabakh is 'part of Armenia'.

"The conflict between Azerbaijan and Armenia is a very complicated process. In this regard it is necessary to be cautious while making statements, which is important for us not to return to the starting point in the process," Zakharova said.
