Putin credits peacekeepers’ role in Karabakh

"Thanks to the activities of the Russian peacekeepers, the humanitarian situation in Karabakh has improved," Russian President Vladimir Putin told an expanded board meeting of the Defense Ministry, Report informs, citing RIA Novosti.
"For over a year, our peacekeepers have been helping to maintain stability in Karabakh. As a result of their efforts, the humanitarian situation has improved, a number of districts have been cleared of mines, social infrastructure facilities have been restored, historical and cultural monuments have been protected," Putin said.
The Russian president thanked the peacekeepers.
