Despite the frosty weather, a protest action on the Khankandi-Lachin road against the illegal exploitation of minerals in the Karabakh economic region of Azerbaijan has entered its 37th day.
According to Report's employee, working at the scene, the rally, which began on the morning of December 12 last year, continued into the night of January 17. The demonstrators continue to show high activity, will and perseverance.
Participants of the action are provided with a place to sleep, and hot meals. Safety rules are observed, no incidents were recorded during the night.
Eco-activists traditionally started the day with the National Anthem of Azerbaijan, followed by patriotic songs.
Volunteers and activists taking part in the demonstrations innvariably demand an end to ecological terror in the Karabakh economic region of Azerbaijan.
At the same time, over the past day, a total of 32 vehicles belonging to Russian peacekeepers continued to move freely along the Khankandi-Lachin road in both directions.
