Azerbaijani population of Shusha exceeded 90 percent before the Karabakh conflict, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said at a parliament meeting, Report informs citing Armenian media.
Then he wondered if this city could be considered Armenian: "Do you want to say that Shusha city, which has over 90 percent of the Azerbaijani population, is Armenian in this status?"
Armenian Foreign Minister Ara Ayvazyan earlier made an absolutely opposite remark, calling Shusha the cultural capital of Armenians. Such contradictory statements by Armenian officials speak of political chaos within Armenia.
