The Islamic Committee of the International Crescent (ICIC) under the Organization of Islamic Cooperation is ready to provide support for the return of internally displaced persons to their homes in the liberated territories, ICIC representative Omer Tashli told reporters.
He noted that he was happy to be in Agdam, in the liberated Turkic lands. “At the same time, it is regrettable to see everything that has been done here; it goes beyond the concept of humanity,” he said. According to him, everyone should be brought here to demonstrate the cruelty and misfortunes that war and occupation bring.
Armenia did not have enough population to settle in the occupied territories of Azerbaijan, which the country liberated in 2020. Therefore, the very fact of occupation did not make any sense; it was just the thoughtless destruction of a city of 100,000, Tashli said.
According to him, what was done during the occupation was an attempt to destroy human culture completely.
