No UAE citizen presented in '7th Armenian games'

Spokesperson of Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry Leyla Abdullayeva has commented on the statement about the participation of some countries, including the United Arab Emirates for the first time in the opening ceremony of the 7th Armenian Games in the occupied Azerbaijani city, Khankandi.

Report presents the question given to Leyla Abdullayeva and her answer:

Question: Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan addressed the opening ceremony of the 7th Armenian games in the occupied city of Khankandi on August 6, 2019, noting that for the first time, some countries, including the United Arab Emirates, participated in the Games. In this regard, what measures have been taken in connection with the participation of these countries in the event in the occupied territories of Azerbaijan?

Answer: It is not the first time that we face the statements made by Armenian officials that do not reflect the truth. The embassy of our country in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) sent a note to the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs regarding this issue, and in the response note it is said that no UAE citizen was present at the event in the Nagorno-Karabakh region. Apparently, the Armenian side deliberately spreads misleading information and wants to create an image that the illegal separatist regime is 'recognized'. In turn, all such attempts result in the exposure of false information.
