NGO activist: Our goal is to get opportunity for monitoring

Our goal is to get an opportunity to monitor the illegal exploitation of mineral deposits in the territories of Azerbaijan, where the Russian peacekeeping contingent is temporarily stationed, as well as the resulting environmental and other consequences, NGO activist Zamina Zamanova told Report.

She noted that peacekeepers should stop all actions of Armenians in the territory of Azerbaijan that will harm the environment.

At present, Azerbaijani activists and members of environmental non-governmental organizations (NGOs) are protesting on the section of the road under the control of Russian peacekeepers in the Shusha district, demanding an end to environmental terrorism in the Karabakh economic region.
