Ministry of Defense: Response measures aimed at stopping Armenian provocations

The information disseminated by the Armenian side about the alleged shelling of the civilian population, facilities and infrastructure by the Azerbaijani army is untrue. This is yet another misinformation spread by the Armenian side, the Ministry of Defense told Report.

The ministry noted that the countermeasures in response to the provocations of Armenia are of a local nature and are directed against military facilities that are the firing points: "The response measures are aimed at ensuring the security of the borders of Azerbaijan and stopping the provocations of Armenia.

Targeting civilian objects and innocent people is the standard military methodology used by the Armenian armed forces. During the 30-year occupation and 44-day Patriotic War, it was the Armenian side that deliberately and purposefully launched ballistic missile and cluster bomb attacks on the cities and civilian population of Azerbaijan."
