Armenian separatists must stop looting Azerbaijan's resources in the territory, temporarily controlled by Russian peacekeepers, Zabil Mammadov, a participant in the protest on the Khankandi-Lachin road, an employee of the International Eurasian Press Foundation NGO, and a landmine victim, told Report.
"We demand that they stop environmental and mine terror,” he said.
“Unfortunately, every month, the citizens of Azerbaijan are hit by mines buried by Armenians and lose their health or become martyrs. It is known to everyone that the mines produced by Armenia kill people, especially in the places where civilians are farming. We ask all international organizations and world states to help end the mine terrorism of the Armenians,” he said.
Zabil Mammadov recalled that the Armenian population in Karabakh lived together with Azerbaijanis during the USSR:
“We have no problem with them. Today, our main concern is the separatists settled in Karabakh because they are looting our resources in those areas and committing environmental terrorism. All necessary conditions are created for the peaceful use of the road. In the future, we can accept them as citizens of Azerbaijan and live together.”
Another protester, Rafael Bayramov, emphasized that he joined the action to support the people of Azerbaijan: “We represent mine victims in Azerbaijan. The goal is to prevent the looting of natural sources. Also, as a result of mine terrorism, a large number of people were killed and wounded. The other party must put an end to this.”
