Lavrov to discuss Nagorno-Karabakh settlement in Baku

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov will embark on a two-day official visit to Baku on Monday.

Report reports that the program of the visit provides for a meeting with President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and negotiations with the Foreign Minister of the Republic, Elmar Mammadyarov.

"During negotiations with Foreign Minister Elmar Maharram oglu Mammadyarov, it is planned to discuss key issues of bilateral cooperation. A substantive exchange of views will take place on international and regional issues, including the Nagorno-Karabakh settlement."

According to the ministry, the parties also plan to sign a consultation plan for the Foreign Ministries of Russia and Azerbaijan for 2020.
