Kazakhstan ambassador: 'We hope that peace and development will come to the South Caucasus region'

Some residents of Lachin have already returned to their native houses, Kazakhstan Ambassador to Azerbaijan Alim Bayel told journalists as part of the trip to Lachin.

"We hope that peace and development will come to the South Caucasus region," he noted.

"Together with the ambassadors of other countries, we have arrived in Lachin, one of the most stunning places in Azerbaijan. Restoration and improvement work is underway in Lachin. Some residents of Lachin have already returned to their native houses, we could talk to them," the diplomat said.

The ambassador noted that the nature of Lachin is stunning and voiced confidence that this district possesses huge economic potential.
