The Turkish-Russian Joint Monitoring Center established as part of a memorandum signed between the Russian and Turkish defense ministers, has been inaugurated
According to Report's Karabakh Center, Azerbaijani Defense Minister, Colonel-General Zakir Hasanov, Russian Deputy Defense Minister, Colonel-General Alexander Fomin, and Turkish Deputy National Defense Minister Yunus Emre Karaosmanoğlu attended the opening ceremony.
The primary purpose of the Center, built in the liberated Aghdam region, is to monitor the implementation of the provisions of the tripartite statement and the agreements reached.
The total area of the Turkish-Russian Joint Monitoring Center is about 4 hectares. There are 65 modular service and executive rooms in the area. All premises are equipped with the necessary facilities - water, electricity, and heating. Besides, there is a standard monitoring center, briefing room, canteen for 100 people, a medical center, a laundry, a hairdresser, a tailor, and a shop. There is a water station, a transformer, a generator, a parking lot, two outdoor sports camps, two indoor gyms, food, and cold storage. The whole place was fenced along the perimeter, four observation-control towers were installed, and daily observation was organized. Restrooms equipped with the necessary things have also been prepared for the organization of recreation for the staff.

Major General Abdullah Katırcı will lead the Turkish staff, and Major General Viktor Fedorenko will head the Russian team of the monitoring center.
