Int’l expert: Not so easy to restore liberated Azerbaijani territories after occupation

It is not so easy to restore the liberated Azerbaijani territories after the occupation. The restoration of such a large area the size of Lebanon will be a good example for other countries, international expert on cultural heritage Alessandro Bianchi said at the international conference “Advancing Post-Conflict Humanitarian Agenda: Sustainable development through revitalization of cultural environment” in Shusha, Report informs.

“We are in a large area the size of Lebanon. This whole area is almost completely destroyed,” Bianchi said.

He noted the importance of preserving cultural heritage and historical memory in the process of restoration. As an example, the expert cited Berlin, where the destroyed part of the bomb shelters is still preserved: “This means the preservation of historical memory.”
