The Khojaly tragedy, which occurred on the night of February 25-26, 1992, is evidence of the atrocities of the Armenians against the Azerbaijani people, reads an article of the Indonesian news portal Jubi.id., Report informs.

The author of the article called the Khojaly genocide a tragedy of the 20th century, which the Azerbaijani people experienced.

As a result of this tragedy, 613 people were brutally killed, including 63 children, 106 women and 70 elderly, 487 people were seriously injured, 1,275 people were taken hostage, the fate of 150 of whom is still unknown.

In the occupied Azerbaijani territories, Armenia not only expelled more than one million Azerbaijanis from their homes and carried out ethnic cleansing, but also committed serious crimes against the Azerbaijani population during the conflict, the article says.

Although the Khojaly genocide was the bloodiest and largest massacre in the conflict, it was not an isolated case. Massacres were also committed by Armenians in other settlements of Azerbaijan, including in the villages of Jamilli, Mashali, Karkijahan, Malibayli and Gushchular,” the author of the article notes.

“The whole world must realize that what was committed in Khojaly is not only a crime against the civilian population of Azerbaijan, but also a crime against the entire civilized and humane world,” reads the article.
