Representatives of the diplomatic corps operating in Azerbaijan on September 18 got acquainted with the work of the Yukhari Vang hydroelectric power plant with a capacity of 22.5 MW, recently launched by Azerenergy OJSC on the Tartar River in the Kalbajar district.

According to Report's correspondent, the foreign guests were informed about the work done at the station, noting that foreign companies were also involved in the construction of this facility.

This plant was built in accordance with the strategy of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev to turn the territories liberated from occupation into a green energy zone and is the largest source of green energy created in the region after Azerbaijan's victory in the Patriotic War.

Earlier, as part of a trip to the Kalbajar district, the diplomats visited the Sarsang reservoir and the Sugovushan recreation park.
