"The latest event once again confirms the reluctance of some Armenians to put up with the defeat in the Second Karabakh War. Apparently, the recent statement by the representative of the separatists, Arayik Harutyunyan, on arming civilian population is being carried out in practice," military expert Adalat Verdiyev, told Report in a comment on the (13 November 2021) terrorist act, committed by an Armenian terrorist at the checkpoint in Karabakh, where the Azerbaijani and Russian military are stationed.
Arayik Harutyunyan has an answer to the question of why a citizen of Armenia had a grenade in Karabakh, he said. “Unfortunately, Russian peacekeepers have not yet disarmed Armenians in this region of Azerbaijan. Until the disarmament process begins, such terrorist attacks are also expected in future," the expert believes.
Adalat Verdiyev believes that the enemy should be properly responded to. “This is not the first case. Similar provocations have occurred several times before. Over the past week, there have been 3-4 attempts to sabotage. There are already real conditions for the Azerbaijani soldier to once again raise the Iron Fist. I think the time has come to take real steps towards the anti-terror operation.”
Military expert Uzeyir Jafarov told Report that similar cases are also not excluded in the future. “The arbitrariness will continue until they are punished in the most severe manner. Armenians are behaving very irresponsibly in the territory, where the Russian peacekeepers are stationed. This case is a proof of it. This is not the first time such provocations have happened. The enemy will pose a threat to the peacekeepers as well."
He also revealed the purpose of Armenians’ sabotage. “By sabotaging us, the Armenians want the bloodshed to begin again and the process to drag on. In my opinion, these issues must be resolved. Otherwise, we will be forced to use weapons again, and it will cost Armenians dearly. Therefore, the enemy must draw the necessary conclusions, reconcile with the defeat, or we will take appropriate action."
The Azerbaijani Prosecutor-General’s Office has instituted a criminal case into the provocation of Armenian terrorists against Azerbaijani servicemen near Shusha.
