The economic benefits of the Zangazur corridor for all countries in the region, including Armenia, are obvious, a leading researcher at the Nanotechnology Research Center of Bilkent University, emeritus professor Amirullah Mamedov told Report.
However, he noted that the Armenian society isn’t yet ready to realize the benefits of the Zangazur corridor for the development of their country.
“There are also legal issues of this corridor. Such international examples exist in various countries, but there is no antagonism in the public consciousness of people, which we observe in our case. As an example, a model of communication between Russia and its enclave, the Kaliningrad Region, can be chosen where all communications go through the territory of the Baltic states, EU members,” he said.
At the same time, speaking about the victory of Azerbaijan in the Second Karabakh War, Mamedov especially emphasized the role of the President, Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev: “During the 44-day war, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev showed himself as a politician with the highest worldview, who knows the intricacies of the art of war and military-technological development.”
