Defense Ministry: Enemy suffers heavy losses, retreats

Armenian armed forces fired at the positions of our units and human settlements in different directions of the front, Report says, referring to Defense Ministry.

Yesterday, the enemy's attempt to attack in several directions was strongly suppressed. The enemy retreated, with heavy casualties of combat vehicles and manpower.

As a result of the retaliatory actions, the deputy commander of the 1st combined arms army of the enemy, Colonel Artur Sargsyan, and the 18th motorized infantry division signal officer, major Aram Ghazaryan, were killed.

Besides, the officer of the artillery department of the 1st combined arms army, lieutenant-colonel B. Aseryan, the commander of the 2nd motorized infantry regiment, Hunan Hayrumyan, were wounded, and the deputy commander of the 3rd battalion of the 5th mountain rifle regiment, Roman Tunyan went missing.
