Chief Rabbi: Memory of every martyr is dear to us

"Our prayer today is the least that we can do in tribute to our martyrs," Chief Rabbi of Baku Religious Community of European Jews, Shneor Segal told, Report informs.
"They gave us victory, liberated our lands from occupation, and we can return there. "The memory of every martyr, regardless of ethnicity or religion, is dear and important to us," he said.
The rabbi also expressed hope that the sons of Azerbaijan will no longer have to die.
"No matter where we pray - in a synagogue, mosque, or church - we all pray to God that the souls of our martyrs will go to heaven. So that their children and families see only joy and happiness."
