At a joint press conference with his Russian counterpart in Sochi, he spoke about the goals and future activities of the Russian-Turkish joint center to observe the ceasefire in Karabakh.
"The President of Azerbaijan extended a hand of friendship, showed goodwill. Besides, Turkey also expressed its position. Azerbaijan and Turkey- we want to normalize our relations with Armenia. It is normal and must be done. We will coordinate our work with Azerbaijan on this issue."
He also stressed that Ankara considers cooperation with Russia essential and stands for peace and prosperity of the entire region.
