It is sad to see vast areas contaminated by mines in Azerbaijan, British traveler Avi Rosenfeld told Report's correspondent in Karabakh.
"The sappers explained to us how they clear the land and mentioned that full clearance could take a very long time. It’s sad to hear this and to see that such a large area is contaminated by landmines," the traveler noted.
According to him, the demining process carried out by the Azerbaijani government deserves high praise.
"This is my first time being on mined territory. We saw areas where mines had been planted. I believe the Azerbaijani authorities are doing an excellent job in clearing the territories of mines," Rosenfeld added.
