The Foreign Minister recalled that Azerbaijan had been working and calling on Armenia to normalize relations in recent years. In this regard, Azerbaijan has proposed five basic points, which are based on international law and the implementation of which is also beneficial to Armenia.
This issue was discussed at a trilateral meeting of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, European Council President Charles Michel and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on April 6, during which the parties agreed that the foreign ministers would work on drafting a future peace treaty.
