Baku: Armenia responsible for killing Azerbaijani border guard
Report

On March 5, the Armed Forces of Armenia flagrantly violated the ceasefire on the Azerbaijani-Armenian state border. Border guard Pashazade Orkhan Nazim oglu was killed as a result of sniper fire in the direction of the Gushchu Airim village of the Gazakh region.

According to Report, the press service of Azerbaijan's Foreign Ministry issued a statement in this regard.

The statement reads that this bloody incident is a targeted provocation and the occupying country - Armenia bears full responsibility for this crime.

"The killing of our soldier, who defends the internationally recognized borders of Azerbaijan, clearly shows that calls for a peaceful settlement made by the occupying country - Armenia - are nothing more than lies and hypocrisy. Such criminal and destructive activity of the military-political leadership of Armenia directly impedes the resolution of the Armenian-Azerbaijani Nagorno-Karabakh conflict through negotiations and, consequently, the efforts of the international community in the person of the OSCE Minsk Group.

"Allah şəhidimizə rəhmət eləsin," the statement said.
