Baku, Aghdam to host conference on demining in late May

Azerbaijan is actively working to clear its liberated territories of landmines, Deputy Head of the Interdepartmental Center of the Coordination Headquarters for the Restoration and Reconstruction of the Liberated Territories, Sultan Hajiyev, said at a briefing held today for representatives of diplomatic corps accredited in Azerbaijan, Report informs.

“We hope that we'll be able to help other countries with similar problems in the future,” he said.

Sultan Hajiyev emphasized that demining is a priority for the sustainable development of the liberated territories.

“At the end of May, we plan to hold a conference in Baku and Aghdam with the participation of experts in this field,” he added.
