"Yerevan is losing the war in the ground and is resorting to conduct missile attacks against the heavily populated cities of Azerbaijan and is threatening the BTC Pipeline. By attacking the BTC Pipeline, Armenian hopes to invite other European powers into the ongoing armed conflict and has become a dangerous State that is recently humiliated by the very low levels of morale encountered within Armenian Armed Forces."
American International Affairs Expert and Scholar Peter Tase said to Report.
Armenia has fired a cluster rocket at the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) pipeline. In the vicinity of the Yevlakh region, a rocket landed 10 meters away from the pipeline. The pipeline was not damaged.
"The authorities in Yerevan must rely on their sound judgment, stop killing innocent Azerbaijani civilians and must be condemned for attacking soft targets, and for grossly violating international humanitarian laws. I am surprised to observe that the French President has been quiet over the last few days as the Armenian missiles and shelling has been going on in Ganja, Yevlakh, and Minghachevir. BTC Pipeline is a strategic asset to the European continent, and European countries must pay greater attention to Armenian reckless and disastrous leadership. EU countries must implement economic sanctions and cancellation of visas and diplomatic passports to Armenian leaders and freeze Armenian key politicians' bank accounts until every inch of Azerbaijan's sovereign territory has been relieved by Armenian soldiers," P. Tase believes.
"For Europe to be silent in front of Yerevan's flagrant violence is a big strategic mistake," – summed up the expert.
