Ambassador: Poland ready to share experience in restoration of monuments for use in Karabakh

In the future, foreign tourists will be able to enjoy the historical monuments of Shusha city and other liberated Azerbaijani territories, Ambassador of Poland to Azerbaijan Rafal Poborski said at the exhibition “Historical and architectural heritage of Poland” in Baku, Report informs.

“I wish Azerbaijan good luck in restoring the liberated territories. I hope that tourists will be able to enjoy the restored historical and cultural monuments in these lands in the future,” the ambassador said.

The Polish diplomat also drew a parallel with the Second World War, when the historical heritage of Warsaw was destroyed, like Agdam city during the 30-year occupation. “But everything that was destroyed, including castles, was restored. I think Polish experts in this field can share their experience with Azerbaijan,” Rafal Poborski noted.

Speaking about the exhibition, the ambassador noted that it will demonstrate how rich the architecture of Poland is and help to get to know the pearls of the country’s architecture better.

The exhibition is being held in Baku as part of the “Global architectural masterpieces” project, the purpose of which is to familiarize with architectural features, styles, history, design and cultural heritage.

This is the third event under the project.
