For Ukraine, the pain of Azerbaijan is especially understandable, Ambassador of Ukraine to Azerbaijan Vladislav Kanevsky, who visited the place of rocket attacks on Ganja, said, according to Report.
"Children are also dying in our country, houses of civilians are being destroyed by shelling," he said.
"We feel the same pain as the Azerbaijani people," he said, adding that when the enemy cannot win on the battlefield, he targets the civilian population.
According to him, Azerbaijan's experience shows that the best solution to the conflict is a combination of diplomacy and military affairs.
Two years have passed since the city of Ganja was subjected to the fifth missile attack by Armenian armed forces during the Second Karabakh War. At around 1 a.m. on October 17, 2020, the SCUD/Elbrus ballistic missiles were treacherously fired into the peacefully sleeping settlement of Javadkhan in the center of Azerbaijan’s second largest city of Ganja, which is located far from the combat zone.
Residential buildings in the shelling area were completely destroyed, the residents were left under the rubble. As a result of the shelling, 15 people were killed, more than 55 civilians were injured, and significant damage was caused to civilian infrastructure and vehicles. Among the dead and injured are minors, women and the elderly.
