British passenger plane accidentally exceeds speed of sound

Baku. 21 February. REPORT.AZ/ A Virgin Atlantic plane appears to have set a brand new speed record for a Boeing 787 Dreamliner after it was clocked reaching a very impressive 801mph over the US. Report informs citing the Russian media that the due information was disseminated by Popular Mechanics.
The publication said that the plane hit the strongest air flow at an altitude of about 11 km. so it increased the speed of 800 m/s (1285 km/h), while the speed of sound is usually 1062 km/h at this altitude. It is noted that the cruising speed of the aircraft is 561 m/h (902 km/h).
Due to the acceleration, the liner arrived at its destination 48 minutes earlier than scheduled.
