Baku.28 March.REPORT.AZ/ Qatari businessman Abdulhadi Mana Al Hajri has purchased Turkey’s most expensive and the world’s fourth most expensive residence, the Erbilginler Yalı, for EUR 100 million, Report informs citing foreign media.
The most expensive home in Turkey, located on the banks of İstanbul’s Bosporus Strait, has been purchased for EUR 100 million by Qatari businessman Abdulhadi Mana Al Hajri. The Erbilginler Yalı, yalı being a Turkish term for waterfront mansion, was listed by Forbes Magazine as the fourth most expensive home in the world.
The estate is located on three-quarters of an acre directly on the Bosporus, and features 64 rooms spread out over four floors. It features nearly 2,800 square meters (30,000 square feet) of opulent living space, including large windows overlooking the water, gilded moldings, crystal chandeliers and its own quay.
Originally known as Şehzade Burhanettin Efendi Yalısı, after it was purchased by Sultan Abdülhamid II's son Şehzade Burhanettin Efendi in 1911, the mansion was later acquired by the Erbilginler family who purchased and restored the property.
