The civilian police in Brazil said the city of Rio Bananal, in the southeast of the country, lost all doses of COVID-19 vaccine after a 9-year-old child cut off electricity at a vaccination center, Report informs with reference to World Today News.
Witnesses point out that after watching the security cameras, it became clear that an innocent child's play has deprived the city of approximately 19,000 people of all available vaccines against COVID-19 and other types of antidotes, blood tests, and medicines.
In the vaccination center, a red lamp blinked inside the clock, the child tried to turn it off, turning off the electricity, instead: "It is an innocent child's play that ultimately created this whole problem," said the owner of the Rio Bananal police station.
Brazil is the worst-hit country in the world from the coronavirus pandemic, which after the United States has the second-largest number of deaths from COVID-19 (244,955 people), while more than 10 million people are infected.
