Zaur Mikayilov: Innovative steps to be studied within Baku Water Week

Innovative steps to solve existing problems in the field will be studied at the International Water Management Exhibition and Conference held for the first time in Azerbaijan as part of the Baku Water Week, Zaur Mikayilov, chairman of the Azerbaijan State Water Resources Agency, said at the opening ceremony of the event, Report informs.

"Such events are among the most progressive steps taken for the sake of the green world," he said.

"Holding an important event like COP29 in Azerbaijan is an indicator of the international community's appreciation of the important environmental measures implemented by Azerbaijan. Holding an international event in the field of water management will create a foundation for the application of new technologies in this sector in Azerbaijan, and will further expand cooperation between local and foreign companies," the chairman added.
