The opening of the road via Zangazur will increase the annual capacity of the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (Middle Corridor) by 15 million tons, Azerbaijani Deputy Prime Minister Shahin Mustafayev said during a special Cabinet meeting dedicated to President Ilham Aliyev’s visit to Washington, Report informs.
“The corridor serves as a strategic bridge connecting mainland Azerbaijan with Türkiye and Eurasia. At the same time, it will function as a new artery linking Southeast Asia and the Persian Gulf with Northern European countries,” Mustafayev noted.
