WUF13 official: 3.3B people worldwide face housing challenges

About 3.3 billion people worldwide are facing housing-related problems, said Emin Huseynzada, Communications Manager at the WUF13 Azerbaijan Operations Company, Report informs.
He noted that as urbanization continues to expand globally, this figure is expected to increase.
"Globally, 300 million people are homeless, and millions more live in slum conditions. This makes the hosting of WUF13 necessary," he said.
The 13th Session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13) will take place in Baku from May 17 to 22.
The forum is being held in close cooperation with the United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat) and focuses on sustainable urban development, smart cities, and the exchange of international experience in innovative urban solutions.
