Baku. 1 February. REPORT.AZ/ Passenger boost in Baku Metro due to intensive snowfall and frosty weather hasn’t imposed any change in trains timetable.

The spokesperson of “Baku Metropolitan” CJSC Nasimi Pashayev told Report.

According to him, based on requirements of autumn-winter period, they minimize train intervals in subway and regulate them in accordance with updated timetable: “Thus, interval for trains in both directions between “Hazi Aslanov” and ’28 May” stations on rush hours (07:00-10:00, 17:00-20:00) is 2 minutes. According to this, rush hour interval between trains in “28 May-Darnagul” and “28 May-Icharishahar” lines is 4 minutes”.

N. Pashayev added that, subway works in enhanced operation mode due to snowy weather condition.

“Staff established due to adverse weather conditions is working. Cleaning works are carried out at on-ground lines to prevent any delays in exit from and entrance to Depot. Entrance and exits of Depot (outdoor part) and all stations are being cleaned. Snow can appear at entrances and exits of some stations as a result of intensive snowfall.
