The Zangazur corridor, which will pass through the ancient territory of Azerbaijan, will be of strategic importance not only for the Caucasus but also for the region in a broader sense, chairman of the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (SMBDA) under the Ministry of Economy Orkhan Mammadov said at a conference on "Innovative activities of small and medium enterprises in stabilizing economic growth in the post-pandemic period" organized by SMBDA, the Milli Majlis and the Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic-speaking countries (TURKPA) in Baku, Report informs.
"We are talking about a corridor that will connect the Turkic-speaking countries with a nominal GDP of more than $1.1 trillion, both strategically and economically. From this point of view, the liberation of the Karabakh region, which occupied by Armenia for almost 30 years, under the leadership of the victorious Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev as a result of the 44-day Patriotic War opens new opportunities for the new geopolitical landscape in the region," Mammadov said.
