Record volume of container traffic on Aktau-Baku route in April

This year, container ships of the Kazakh national shipping company Kazmortransflot (a subsidiary of KazMunayGas) transported more than 100,000 tons of cargo through the Caspian Sea on the Aktau-Baku route, Report informs referring to the KazMunayGas company.
In April, a record number of container shipments was recorded – 2,850 TEU (about 35,000 tons of cargo), with an average of 2,500 TEU (twenty-foot equivalent units).
Kazmortransflot container ships carry out an average of 8-9 round trips per month in this direction, providing a connection between Asia and Europe.
The company owns seven tankers, three tugs, two bulk carriers and three container ships.
