Passenger traffic at Turkish airports may grow to 216.6M people by 2023

Turkey predicts an increase in the number of air transport passengers by 68% to 216,615,000 people by 2023, Report informs referring to Anadolu Agency.
In 2021, the passenger traffic at Turkey’s airports amounted to 128,656,706 people, and by the end of this year, it is expected to grow by 50% to 193,278,616 people.
The biggest growth is expected on international flights. If in 2021 the number of passengers on international flights amounted to 59,676,396 people, by the end of 2022 it is expected to grow by 55% to 92,726,475, and in 2023 to 102,709,786 people.
In 2021, the number of flights in Turkey, including transit ones, amounted to 1,461,577, in 2022 the figure is expected to be 2,039,903, and in 2023 - 2,214,445.
